WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Dear Colleagues, Researchers, and Friends,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd International Scientific Conference on Body Composition (2nd ISCBC 2026), which will be held on 6-7 April 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This conference is proudly organised by the Malaysian Society of Body Composition (MSBC), a society dedicated to advancing the science and application of body composition in health, sports, and nutrition.

Our journey began with the inaugural 1st ISCBC 2021, which was held virtually from 9-10 November 2021 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the circumstances, the conference drew an impressive 414 delegates from diverse fields and countries, reflecting the strong global interest in body composition science. Building on that momentum, 2nd ISCBC 2026 returns with renewed focus and energy to explore the critical intersections of body composition, sports, and nutrition in promoting optimal health across the lifespan.

The theme of this year's conference, “Exploring the Nexus: Body Composition, Sports, Nutrition for Optimal Health,” reflects the growing global interest in understanding how these interconnected domains contribute to disease prevention, performance enhancement, and quality of life. As the complexity of modern health challenges increases, interdisciplinary collaboration becomes more essential than ever.

This conference aims to serve as a dynamic platform for researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, and industry partners to share cutting-edge research, exchange knowledge, and collaborate on innovations that link science to practice. We believe that through collaboration, we can drive meaningful change in addressing current and emerging health challenges.

On behalf of the organising committee, I warmly invite you to join us at the 2nd ISCBC 2026. We look forward to welcoming you to an intellectually enriching, collaborative, and inspiring event.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE MALAYSIAN SOCIETY OF BODY COMPOSITION (MSBC)

Dear Delegates, Colleagues, and Friends,

On behalf of the Malaysian Society of Body Composition (MSBC), it is my honour to welcome you to the 2nd International Scientific Conference on Body Composition (2nd ISCBC 2026), taking place on 6-7 April 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Established in 2020, MSBC is committed to advancing research, educational training, and the application of body composition in both public health and clinical practice. The ISCBC series is a cornerstone of this mission, offering a global platform for knowledge exchange, scientific dialogue, and professional networking.

Following the great success of the inaugural 1st ISCBC, which brought together experts and stakeholders from various disciplines, we are excited to carry forward this momentum. The 2nd ISCBC aims to expand our reach and impact, continuing to disseminate cutting-edge knowledge and foster collaborations that push the boundaries of body composition science.

This year's conference theme, “Exploring the Nexus: Body Composition, Sports, Nutrition for Optimal Health,” underscores the urgent need to better understand how these interconnected domains influence health across the lifespan. As we face increasing challenges related to non-communicable diseases, and aging populations. As the world continues to grapple with the rise of non-communicable diseases, aging populations, and performance-driven health concerns, the role of body composition research becomes increasingly vital.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the organizing committee, our partners, and all contributors whose dedication and hard work have brought this conference to life. I encourage all participants to fully engage in the scientific sessions, exchange ideas, and foster new collaborations that will propel the field forward.

We are delighted to welcome you to 2nd ISCBC 2026, and we hope that your experience will be both intellectually rewarding and professionally meaningful.
